Hello Hartwick! Wondering if that old item in the garage or basement goes in our recycling bins? Want tips on how to determine what qualifies, some easy ways to flatten boxes, or where to ask for questions?
 
Years of environmental and economic studies show us the benefits of reducing waste, not just for our children’s future but for our own financial gain. Save money and the planet, with little effort once you get the pattern.
 
In addition to keeping items out of the waste stream, there are also recycling initiatives for expanded polystyrene, fluorescent bulbs, books, paint, plastic film, electronics and more.
 
A team from the Hartwick Conservation Advisory Committee (HCAC) will be on hand to guide in the proper disposal of items for recycling. There will be printed materials available for future reference.
 
Stop by the Hartwick recycle bins on Saturday November 8th, 8am - 4pm for coffee, a muffin, and some handy information. Bring your questions.
